Bermuda cycles information
Some people, when they visit Bermuda, rent mopeds to
get around on.
It has to be bikes (scooters, mopeds, etc...) because
car rentals are not available here. Our roads are just not big
enough to accommodate that many cars. Anyone
over the age of 16 can rent a bike and you need no license. Even
if you have never ridden a bike in your life, they will rent them to
you. It is the scariest thing you can believe to watch someone who
knows nothing about riding, riding.
For this reason, we, here at
http://www.tourism-bermuda.com,
do not condone the renting of mopeds to tourists. They are
dangerous not only to those who ride them but also to those who have to
ride behind, in front of or across the street from them.
There are plenty of other transportation options in
Bermuda without having to endanger yourself and others. Please...
if you are not familiar with riding motorized cycles, take the bus or
taxi.
