Achilles Bay Beach - Bermuda information
Down the stairs from Blackbeard's Hideout, you will
find a great, tiny beach which, if you can ever find it vacant, offers
some of the best swimming in Bermuda. You can rent snorkels, beach
chairs, floaties and have drinks right on Achilles Bay. To the
left are some rocks that you can swim through and, usually, see some
great sea life. Parrotfish, squid and loads more to see.
You can get to Achilles Bay by walking from the square
in St. George's. It will take you about 20 minutes or so.
There are some considerable hills and you may want to take a mini-bus
from the square or take a taxi. Achilles Bay is located right next
to Fort St. Catherine
and Catherine's Beach.
